"LONDON, England (CNN) -- The worst snowstorm to hit Britain in 18 years forced the cancellation of more than 650 flights at London's Heathrow airport Monday and shut down the city's bus network, partially paralyzing the British capital." Growing up in California I've never really had a snow day, I mean school cancelled on account of wind? sure, fire? you bet and in Idaho snow is just the norm and you're crazy if you think they'd cancel college classes for it. I've never had this glorious little thing called a snow day until this past Monday. We saw on Sunday night the snow start falling pretty heavy but when we woke up on Monday morning it was SO BEAUTIFUL!! A 6 inch deep white blanket covered all of London. Everything was closed- Museums, stores, restaurants, all London Transport was down and for one day all of London paused to play in the snow. Since the all transport was down we walked to Hyde Park and had the biggest snowball fight ever! It was one of the best most hilarious moments of my entire trip so far! Here are a few pictures from my Snow day!!
