So I'm Sort of Dying....

So a few days ago my chest and throat start feeling a little weird it keeps getting worse and fast forward-it's friday night and I have eaten a total of 1/2 an uncrustable and 1/2 cup chicken broth because i can't swallow anything. And I CAN'T BREATHE and I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure thats a bad sign.  I dont know why, but I can only breathe really shallow short breaths and  anything like coughing, laughing and even normal breathing feel like someone is driving this little guy over my chest...
So its to the hospital we go on saturday and YAY this was my first x-ray where I didn't actually have a broken bone ( Lets knock on wood for that one because we all know I don't need to revisit this!)

Any way after several x-rays and tests, the doctors concluded that I have severely damaged my esophagus. Then I remembered the other night, when the water got turned off , and I had just taken some medicine. I didn't think anything of not having some H20 to wash the tiny pill down with I just swallowed. Apparently it got stuck in my throat and dissolved there and severely burned my esophagus, and I didnt help matters when the next night (before any symptoms showed) I went for some delicious
Mexican Food! AY! AY! AY!
Not a great plan when you burn the crap out of the lining of you're throat . Needless to say my spicy enchiladas and tortilla chips weren't too kind to my newly destroyed thorax and I ended up with a big huge tear in my esophagus because of it all.
It will heal itself but in the meantime no deep breathing, laugh attacks, yelling, talking a lot or general loudness. And you  know my loving family all took this opportunity to keep the jokes coming. OK guys we know  quiet alyssa = oxymoron. funny funny.

Well now my life for the next two weeks consists of:

But hey my new soft foods diet means I'm
one step closer to the retirement home, depends diapers,
and from partying it up with these sassy ladies.

HAPPY 4TH of JULY

So a couple of days before 4th of july Michael and I spent a lovely day in SD seeing our dear friend Chelly <3 we went to extraordinary desserts which was nothing short of incredible then it was off to the gaslamp district for shopping ( mikey was such a good sport the whole day!) then to olive garden for dessert where we had a waitress who was nuts ( but she had a "designer body", she told us so!!) then we ended the night with the best movie ever! FREE WILLY <3 id been wanting to watch it so bad for like an entire week-

Fourth of July was wonderful too!! Happy Birthday America! We listened to country music the entire way back down to San Diego <3>
Then we went to Coronado and beached it up for the afternoon ! I love the beach so much and Coronado is BEAUTIFUL. My phone thought we had crossed over to mexico ( which was ironic to be in mexico on America Day) we snuck onto the lifeguard tower
and crashed a dance party that was like 97% african- so umm i stuck out a little bit! I borrowed a strangers beach cruiser
 and built a sand castle!
Then we ended our day of adventures at Chelly's friend Skyler's house! We swam and sat in the Jacuzzi for the rest of the night. Skyler has this dog the size of a mini horse and when he got riled up he started humping everything it was like everyman for himself trying to stay safe from Kobe haha he jumped in the pool after me!

We watch the fireworks sparkle in the sky, thought about how blessed we are and  headed back toward rancho! 4th of July is definately one of my favorite holidays its just like a celebration of everything warm and summer sunshine sparklers sand stars and stripes! It was a perfect day!

Sometimes I like to give myself a little extra sunshine in my day by creating little victories and successes. I add things to my TO DO lists that I know I will do, so that I can have that happy accomplished feeling when I cross it off. I also put real things on my list too because being productive also makes me very happy-  but I like to top off my list with something like
#1 WAKE UP- and see I start my day with success from the get-go, WAKE UP: if I am awake to read my list then I already accomplished something on it! I usually will add things to the list like #6 YOU NEED TO READ THIS ENTIRE SENTENCE. or #23 BE NAMED ALYSSA. Its all about the little things that make you smile.

I <3 The 90's

Lisa Turtle always had the best fashion sense of any of the gang on Saved By The Bell. Let me just say that her bold choices seem just as chic this summer as they did in the early 90's.My favorite 1990's TV shows seem to be the inspiration for this summers trends.

Think neon splashed bright basics, geometric prints, muscle tanks and v-necks, acid washed anything and your summer essentials would make Zack Morris, Kelly Taylor, D. J. Tanner and Hillary Banks all very proud. Update it with a little hippie vibe and fun accessories and boyfriend shirts, jeans, shorts or just anything oversized- especially sunglasses. It has that california cool with a nod to the nineties I am obsessed with.

My other Favorite 90's throwback trend has made a definite comeback- ladies and gentlemen( well gentlemen, if there are any that are remotely interested enough that they haven't stopped reading by now) I give you the return of the jean jacket. We all had one back in the day that was our staple and go to jacket. Come on one for everyone seriously-

Well now its back and better than ever. Thrown over a carefee breezy summer dress or over your favorite white deep v-neck I'm in love with the Denim jacket all over again.

TV definitely hit a golden age during the 90's  I still rely on my dvds of Full House or Fresh Prince when I feel a little down. 90210 was the OC of the 90's and that sunny california vibe has recycled all over again and I love it like Zack Morris loves Kelly Kapowski!

craving ....

I'm not usually one to get really intense cravings so please help me understand why every night for the past 2 weeks somewhere between midnight and 12:30 my tummy goes..."HOLD THE PHONE-
I NEED SOME CEREAL IN MY BELLY RIGHT NOW"
Weird Right? I dont quite get it but it just always sounds soo delectable.

See now you are looking at that cereal picture going- "wait cereal does sound really good!" aren't you? Now my only problem is how I will ever choose!
Special K? Lucky Charms? Peanut Butter Crunch?
I'm going back to sleep...
