Feed the Birds

Early each day to the steps of Saint Paul's the little old bird woman comes In her own special way to the people she call, "Come, buy my bags full of crumbs; Feed the birds Tuppence a bag, Tuppence, Tuppence, Tuppence a bag...

Tuesday was quite a wonderful day. As a group we  walked on the same steps as Mary Poppin's bird woman friend and through giant doors into Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece St Paul's Cathedral. It was so brilliant! Th entire cathedral a few years back underwent some major cleaning so it was restored to its original exquisiteness. We have seen quite a few Cathedral's while I've been here in London, being that they are such a rich part of english history but this was most definitely my favorite. Every inch was so stunning. 285 steps closer to the top of the Cathedral's dome is the Whispering Gallery where because the wall makes such a perfect circle even the hushed sound of a whisper will run along the wall and you can hear it on the other side. It was great  fun up there whispering things like " man in the red hat" or " hey woman with the bald man" or "hello lady in a blue coat" and then quickly turning away and denying our whispers hahah it was hilarious to watch the people look about for who was calling them! Anywho St. Pauls was very lovely here is a picture of us on the steps but we are teeny tiny in this one because it was so far away.
