Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle was one of my favorite place that I have seen so far it was truly breath taking. we stopped in to say hello to Her majesty  the boys and had quite a lovely visit. I loved this castle and all its history and th and how it looked like it really did pop right out of a fairy tale. It was so neat to see the place that queen calls home. I was totally blown away; it felt surreal. We walked through the long banquet room where all the heads of state from so many countries have come together. I looked out on of the windows and our guide told me that the room I was looking at wa she Queen's reading parlour. I couldn't even imagine Her Royal Highness in her slippers, sipping tea and curling up with a copy her favorite book.

Afterward we met the BEST guard in the all the royal army!  When a group of us walked up to us to take a picture with him we were standing awkwardly far and so I just said "can we touch you?" and he answered! He said "if you want...". So we all cuddled up next to him and took our picture hahah. Then we asked him how old he was and if he liked his job and he said he was 19 and that" its a top job, definetaly a top job". Then when he did his little stomp-switch the arm thats holding the gun-kick-stomp thing I was smiling so big at him and he was trying unsuccessfully with all his might to hold back a smile. It was quite funny to watch. After we all took individual picture with the him Erin asked " are allowed to talk to us?" and he just goes "well I'm already in s**t for this anyway" hahahahahha can you believe it? They say those guards are unbreakable they don't stand a chance against the girls form the BYU London Centre. He really was so fun and adourable and he winked at me as we walked away!

To be or not to be?

Tuesday we visited Shakespeares Globe Theatre. All my years in Drama Classes and theatre gave me a little background in shakespeare but this tour was awesome. I learned so much!! Did you know that most of the actors in Shakespeare's plays rehearsed a total of about three hours! When they were given scripts if was on a scroll or roll, hence the actor has his role. And it wasnt the entire play is had only the three words spoken before your lines and what you were to deliver; they had only their parts, hence the actor gets his part. And I could go on but it was fascinating trying to imagine the arena and thatched room holding about 3,000 people smashed in to watch Much Ado or All's Well that Ends Well. It was really neat and definitely the picture of what studying in London is all about. Here are some snaps form the globe

On the way home I couldnt help myself when I saw The Mermaid Centre....

Happy Valentines Day!

So this was by far the best Valentines Day that I've ever had. I got tons of love in the mail from my family. They sent me so many wonderful goodies. Mac& Cheese, cute new tights, Mike& Ikes a ring that I love, and peanut butter balls were just a few  of the amazing surprises that were delivered to 27 Palace Court. Not to mention LOADS of cards. Im not joking I got several in the mail and about 50 in a package from Heather, My Dad and Jakey! She had her class and Jakey's class make me valentines!! It was adorable and the Valentines were all so sweet! I was so excited to have so much love <3

Then on Valentines Day a few of the girls here planned a super super fun party. It was Operation V-Day 1944. Our adorable 1940's themed party was amazing. It was so adorable we swapped cute boy stories, danced to cute 40's music. We were all laughing so much and just having so much fun together! It was definitely a night I'll always remember for the rest of my life!!!

3 days in Wales....

This weeks Wednesday excursion turned into a 3 day trip! It was so fun we drove with our coach driver Tony for a few hours into Wales then we had our first stop in St.Fagans. It was a whole working reenacting town that showed real Welsh life in the 1800's and 1900's. There were small thatched roof cottages and the little market where the people would shop. The town had it;s cute little church and a big farm. The farm was fun to see all the animals the cows and piggy's in the pen were cute- but the were CHICKENS JUST WALKING AROUND! Like no fence of coop or little chicken playground for them they were like just walking around town exploring. I didnt like this too much. I need some boundaries between be me and my fowl thank you very much! Not that I have a thing against chickens I would have felt the same way if the goats were walking next to me too. I tried to get a few snaps of the chickens but then they collectively decided to take advantage of my obvious fear and would charge towards me and make their ferocious noise and it obviously scared me so I couldn't get my camera focused just right. Anywho this little town was really cute! I guess I just liked that everything was working and was just like the people lived back then;

Next Stop Fairy Tale Land......
Before we headed to the hostel( more on that later) we went to a fairy princess castle. Ok well not really. It used to be the remains of an ancient castle in Wales that has recently been rebuilt to look like a Fairy Tale Castle. I was expecting the Princess to come round the corner Frog Prince in hand. It was ADORABLE. It explored the whole thing and sang princess songs and played. I felt like a 5 year old! It actually made me really homesick for Disney! I miss that Disney magic in my life every day and this made me feel like I back at home in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle...

Then we got to the Hostel. This was interesting to say the least. I will be positive about it so that also means I will be brief. It was special. My linens were in a Zip Loc bag and I'm pretty sure there was piece of tree bark on them. At least the toilet was inside. hahah Life is about experience right??

The next day we went  was a BEAUTIFUL castle in the city of Beaumaris. It was right on the beach. It was amazing. The whole stone castle was so pretty, but my favorite part was when all of us girls stood in the chapel of the castle together singing hymns. You could hear it all throughout the castle it sounded so beautiful and was so so special!!

The next town we visited the cute little town of Chester! hahah yes Chester This cute little English town had a flight of stairs right by the river called the "Wishing Steps". If you run up and down twice without breathing you wish will come true.... well im not going to spoil my wish and tell you what I wished for but be expecting a wedding invitation for Mr. & Mrs. Joe Jonas pretty soon...

Then we went to Shrewsberry Cathedral. It was beautiful cathedral the stained glass was my favorite. Im actually stunned by how well  cathedrals last through all this time. It's incredible...

Tower of London

Last Tuesday we went to the Tower of London! It was so cool. We can all out fitted with gloves, wellies, sweaters and brellys! Its getting to be the rainy season. The Tower looked  bit more like a little village than a royal tower. I like the armory where they kept the suits of armor, sadly there were no handsome princes or knights to be found. Then we saw the execution spot where Anne Boelynn  and others were beheaded, that was a bit sad and upsetting to stand there so we moved on to my favorite place in the whole tower; The Crown Jewels! They were SO stunning! Ever since I was little I would play dress up or Pretty Pretty Princess and put on loads of princess jewels - It was literally breathtaking to see the jewels, orb and septor, huge gems and gigantic diamonds and tiara's and crowns. I stood there staring thinking of the many Kings and Queens that have worn those and thinking "that 540 carat diamond is real?" It was so neat!

I Love These Girls

Friday Night was the First night of Abby's Birthday Weekend Celebration! We all got dressed up and went to the Hyde Park Singles Dance. It was so fun to talk and meet people from here in England especially boys! I love all of the girls here- but it's been a month of all of my same new friends so it was so exciting to go and meet a whole new group of people. The next night (Saturday) we all got together with our new friends grabbed some dinner at yummy Nando's and then Split up into 2 groups for our Scavenger Challenge Hunt; a few items on the list? Dance Battle with a Stranger- Stage a Public Breakup- Bark at 5 Strangers- Get one Item of Clothing from a strangers ( no stealing permitted)- ask someone for their autograph and give one autograph( not too much of a stretch for me haha) there were a few more and the rules saw we had to document it all on camera so I'll post Video's from our adventure as soon as I get them! xoxo

Dover Castle and Canterbury Tales...

This week our Wednesday trip was to Dover White Cliffs at the English Channel and to Canterbury. This was such a fun trip despite the fact that I ended up COVERED with mud. I was wearing my Juicy Couture wellies and it was quite muddy outside because it had been raining and I began to slip down this hill, I was going to do anything not to fall on my camera so instead I sacrificed my body and my True Religions. Luckily Chelsea and McKell were close to help me get up. So my shooting photos was interrupted  and I had to attempt to get cleaned up, luckily I had an extra coat on hand ( what are the odds!) Then it was off to Canterbury Cathedral where Thomas Beckett's memorial was. Next was St. Augustines Abby and then we just had a few hours to go out and about in the little town of Canterbury and explore the shops and markets. It was adorable. We grabbed some chips and took a stroll around the city. We found a couple of really wonky buildings.  These are the pictures!
