Madame Tussads

So in honor of inauguration day Madamme Tussads Wax Museum hosted  "American Day" and anyone with an American passport got in free. So all of us girls headed down there to see all the waxy celebs. It was actually way more fun than I had anticipated. I don't know taking pictures with mannequin celebrities just didn't sound all that fun, but it was acctually SO FUN! It was totally hilarious. I laughed so so so hard! Here are some of the fabulous and fun pictures!

What a lovely day for a walk about!

On Monday I met up with my Uncle Lawrence and we spent the day together taking in the beauty of London. He took me on a little stroll where we got to see some of the most iconic  sights in the city. We walked along the River Thames and he took me to a spot right behind the Houses of Parliment where I had the prettiest view of the London Eye. We walked along by Big Ben and Westminster Abbey then down the road and passed a few more sights. We wandered through the Tate Britain, past Buckingham Palace and all through Victoria. We finished the afternoon with some biscuits ( caramel digestives believe it or not are so delicious) and tea at his flat. 

It was one of the best days of my time here so far! I loved wandering about and having Lawrence to show me around and see London like a true Londoner. Everyone once in a while he'd tell me to turn around and I would see another breathtaking view that I might have missed. He had bits and pieces of history and that made our walk so much more than just looking at great architecture. And as always Lawrence is wonderful company. I was just so nice that he took the day to show me around and chat together. It really was great!

Happy Birthday Kate!

Saturday night was a girls night out and we went to dinner at Bella Italia. It was pretty Yummy - but my high light of the night was when we finished singing happy birthday to Kate a scary old hag walked by and tried to put a spell on us and was chanting at our whole table "Rubbish! Rubbish! Rubbish from abroad! With faces like Dogs!" We were all kinda in shock for a minute that she even said that. I thought it was pretty hilarious. But as soon as she was gone we went back to laughing together! I hope Kate had a happy happy birthday I know we had fun celebrating it with her! These are afew photos from her birthday night and dinner..

So on Saturday morning we got up and went to Portobello Market! It was so so neat! We saw everything from antiques to produce to performers to boutiques to just what I need- more irresistible treats. We spent almost all day here, and I had the greatest cupcake EVER at the Hummingbird Bakery. I saw so many cool old antiques everything from silverware to jewelry to sports equip. to suitcases and scrapbooks to clothes and camera's. I saw an amazing ring it was a big chunk of purple jade f0r the bargain price of 350 pounds! HA! As If...

Then it was just a tiny walk from Portobello to Notting Hill and I thought of cute little Ashley Batastia who asked me before I left if I would take a picture of "The Blue Door- you know the blue door form Notting Hill" so I've seen plenty of blue doors but I waited to I found one that was exactally like William Thackers. In the movie the columns were blue as-well but the current owner painted them back to cream. So this is for Ash. I also lwatched the movie this weekend and looked up online other places that are in the movie and found  couple of them and took a few photo's. <3>

Westminster Abbey

I totally LOVED Westminster Abbey-although there hasn't been anything in London yet that I haven't LOVED ! ( thats excluding the fact that it's odd here to give compliments because its too intrusive- i think that is just lame! haha) Well Westminster was stunning and so so so full of history. Sarah and I spent a little extra money( on audio guides) and a ton of extra time at the Abbey just trying to soak it all up. I was just blown away by the number of significant people tat have graced The Abbey. I could just imagine Queen Elizabeth sitting in the coronation chair and receiving her Crown, ball and scepter! It was pretty surreal standing in the same place that people like Queen Victoria, Shakespeare, Henry the VIII. Jane Austen and Princess Diana stood. It was pretty surreal and the monuments and tombs and architecture of it all was nothing short of remarkable. 

After the tour Sarah and I went to the gift shop and they had children's  Monk costumes to borrow and take photos in the cloisters of the Abbey! So you guessed it we put on the child size large monk outfit and started taking pictures! The best part was when the Italian tourists wanted their picture taken with us! We thought it was quite hilarious!

Covent Garden

We also recently visited Covent Garden. It was a super fun little area with shops, street prefomers and a big theatre district. We met a magician named max, who was like a comic too and was insulting and poking fun at the audience. haha he made a blonde joke about me! whats new? haha

 any way then we wandered a bit more and we met a headless guy- go figure! We saw at Liecester Square, where the night before Will Smith walked the red carpet for the Seven Pounds premire. 

Then we went over to china towne and asked a man to take a picture of all of us and when we all stood and posed in front of him and he counts one two three and shot a picture of the arch with NONE of us in it haha

Then as fate would have it we ran into another Patesserie Valerie. We couldn't resist. So another chocolate cupcake and a walk home and we were back at 27 palace court to play Mafia and Murder Mystery in our old victorian house with all the girls... 

It's so fun having a constant sleepover with so many fun girls, I just love it here! I couldn't be happier and I am just so lucky to be here! I totally and completely adore it- I think every single day about how much I love London and that It's amazing to be here and get out and go see and play here!
